CZK 123 million secured during Tax Cobra team action

The action was based on a tax administrator’s finding that the tax subject participates in a chain of subjects purposely avoiding the payment of VAT. This tax evasion concerned phone coupons and occurred not only in the Czech Republic but also in other states (Slovakia, Poland). The Financial Administration of the Czech Rpepublic proceeded to custodial seizure with justified concerns that it won’t be possible to collect the tax at the time of completion of tax audit. Seized articles were financial means, vehicles, supplies (stored public transport tickets, phone coupons) and other movable assets, totalling CZK 123 million.

During the action participated 70 employees of the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic and three dozen employees of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic together with Police of the Czech Republic – that is a nature of the Tax Cobra’s work.
